The idea
Employers must offer the hepatitis B vaccine series to every worker with occupational exposure.
In practice
It must be offered after training and within ten working days of starting the assignment, unless the worker is already vaccinated or immune.
Where people slip
A worker who declines can still accept the vaccine later, and it must then be offered.
