Medical Asepsis
Captions available
The idea
Medical asepsis, also called aseptic technique, deliberately reduces germs to prevent their transfer from one person or object to another.
In practice
It is used for procedures such as injections, where the goal is to keep germ numbers low and keep them out of the body.
Where people slip
Medical asepsis reduces germs but does not remove all of them; that is the job of sterile technique.
