Translating into Standard Form

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

To translate ordinary language: identify quantity and quality, then force the sentence into "All/No/Some S are/are not P" with plural class nouns.

Show

"Every ticket gets you in" → "All ticket-holders are persons admitted."

Watch for

Clunky is correct. Standard form trades elegance for testability, on purpose.
