Leading AI at Work: Governance, Rollout and Practice / Unit 3 LAI 061 worked example, 60 to 90 seconds
Assessing AI Risk Around a Gold Thing
The idea
The book's Toolbox gives a prompt pattern for using AI to help assess the risk of an AI feature around a Gold thing.
In practice
Step one: give the tool the thing's Gold Pack. Step two: describe the proposed feature in a few plain sentences. Step three: ask which fields or aspects of the thing the feature could read or influence. Step four: ask what the main risks are if the AI behaves incorrectly with respect to that thing. Step five: ask which parts of the definition or constraints should be used as guardrails. Step six: tell the tool to use only the Pack and the description, and not to speculate about unrelated details.
Where people slip
The tool's answer is a first draft of the risk picture, not the risk assessment itself. The book's pattern ends where every Toolbox pattern ends: a person checks the result before anything is decided.
