Days Sixteen to Forty: First Packs and Cards

Captions available

The idea

Days sixteen to forty write and validate the first Packs and cards, for one to three core things.

In practice

Step one: for each chosen thing, draft a Silver Pack, or a Gold Pack for a Gold thing, including its purpose, sensitivity and main risks. Step two: write a small set of cards: one or two that create or update the thing, one that reads it, and a generate or log card where it applies. Step three: run at least one object review session for each thing, with frontline staff and policy or compliance staff in the same session or linked ones. Step four: record the changes, disagreements and risks the sessions surface, and update the Packs. Step five: use an AI tool to draft cards from your definitions, build example instances and rewrite Pack sections in plainer language, and have a person check every result.

Where people slip

Three things validated well beat ten drafted in a hurry. The book's measure of this phase is whether stakeholders recognize their own world in the model.
