Leading AI at Work: Governance, Rollout and Practice / Unit 2 LAI 029 worked example, 60 to 90 seconds
Days One to Fifteen: Scope and Seed
The idea
The first fifteen days of the book's pilot choose the scope and seed the model of things.
In practice
Step one: pick the system, using the book's test of moderate to high risk, supportive stakeholders and no fire. Step two: name the stakeholders, including operational owners, analysts, architects, data and analytics staff, testers, and anyone working on AI. Step three: run a short version of phase one, collecting nouns, building an inventory and drawing a rough map. Step four: pick three to seven core things, and from them three to five candidate Gold things, whose mistakes would be painful or risky. Step five: let an AI tool draft the inventory from existing documents, propose zones, and summarize the map for sharing, with a person checking each result.
Where people slip
The candidate Gold list is a candidate list. Some things will move off it once the Packs are written and validated, and that movement is the pilot working, not failing.
