Leading AI at Work: Governance, Rollout and Practice / Unit 9 LAI 211 review, 2 to 3 minutes
The Whole Arc
The idea
The capstone's last part, constructed for this course, sets Priya's personal ninety days beside the pilot, and returns to where the course began.
In practice
Alongside the pilot, Priya keeps the book's four habits. She asks the thing question in every meeting, writes one card a week, keeps the relevant Pack open while she works, and anchors every AI request with a definition and an instruction not to invent. Her first week was the small challenge. By day thirty, her portfolio holds two Packs, seven cards, a rough matrix and three saved prompts. By day ninety, it holds four Packs, two of them Gold, fourteen cards, one working matrix, a prompt library with an owner for each template, and notes on the conversations the documents changed. She has helped two officers write their first cards. When the next regulator inquiry arrives, about a disconnection that should have been paused, she drafts the answer in an afternoon from the Disconnection's Pack, its matrix and the review notes. The collections manager asks her to run a second pilot, on customer accounts. In the year since her small challenge, complaints to the regulator from wrongly processed disconnections have fallen from four to one, and the one was caught by the override log.
Where people slip
Priya's arc is the course's arc. It started the way unit one began, with one person working differently and nobody needing to approve it. It grew into a pilot, an AI feature placed carefully, a playbook, an operating model, governance that NIST's questions could check, and a team that learned the method on its own confusion. To begin your own, go back to lesson one: one analyst, one Monday, and one thing.
