The idea
Homeschooling grew from the nineteen seventies and rose during the COVID pandemic; reasons include concern about school environments, instruction, religious teaching, and protection from racism.
In practice
A family customizing lessons for a child's needs, while joining a co-op for group activities.
Where people slip
Reports of equal or better test results come from self-selected samples, so they cannot show that homeschooling causes them.
