The idea
Sexual orientation is the sex of those to whom one is sexually, emotionally or romantically attracted; heteronormativity treats heterosexuality as the norm.
In practice
In the twenty fifteen YRBS, six percent of high-school students identifying as bisexual, two percent as gay or lesbian.
Where people slip
Heterosexual identity development is multidimensional too, not a default that needs no development.
