Gender Nonconformity
Captions available
The idea
Gender-nonconforming behaviour does not match expectations for one's assigned gender, and gender-nonconforming youth face more victimization.
In practice
Higher masculinity, in both sexes, predicting fewer depressive symptoms in one longitudinal study.
Where people slip
The course defines gender identity terms; contested clinical claims about treatment are outside the exam and not voiced.
