Captions available
The idea
Prince Hamlet learns from his father's ghost that his uncle Claudius murdered the king and married his mother. Hamlet delays, feigns madness and stages a play to test the king, and the tragedy ends in a duel in which nearly everyone dies. Hamlet is Shakespeare's longest play.
In practice
Ghost, delay, play, duel.
Where people slip
Why Hamlet delays is the classic critical question.
