Ulysses, published in Paris in nineteen twenty-two, follows three Dubliners on a single day, the sixteenth of June nineteen-oh-four, with parallels to Homer's Odyssey: Leopold Bloom as Odysseus, Molly as Penelope, Stephen as Telemachus. Eliot praised its "mythical method."
