The idea
Capitalization and the italics-or-quotation-marks rule carry into citations, where each style has its own version.
In practice
The Handbook's examples follow MLA style; APA and Chicago treat some title capitalization differently, as units twenty-five through twenty-seven show.
Where people slip
Mixing styles within one list of sources is a common and visible error.
