Binomial Coefficients

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

A binomial coefficient is a combination number in expansion duty: (n over r) equals C(n, r), and row n of Pascal's triangle lists them all.

Show

Row four reads 1, 4, 6, 4, 1 — the middle entry is C(4, 2) = 6, two spots chosen from four.

Builds on

  • Nothing — this is a starting point.

Unlocks

  • Nothing yet depends on this.
