Natural Numbers and Whole Numbers
This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.
State
The natural numbers are the counting numbers 1, 2, 3, and so on; the whole numbers are the natural numbers plus zero.
Show
Counting the coins in a jar uses natural numbers; reporting an empty jar takes zero — a whole number that counts nothing.
Watch for
Zero is a whole number, not a natural number.
