Density Defined

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

Density is the ratio of mass to volume, derived from the base units of mass and length.

Show

A block of lead and a block of aluminum can be the same size yet have very different densities because their masses differ.

Watch for

Density is intensive, not extensive — cutting a block of metal in half changes mass and volume equally, leaving density unchanged.
