The idea
Baltimore classification sorts viruses into groups by how each genome type is converted into messenger RNA during replication, not by shape or host.
In practice
A double-stranded DNA virus transcribes mRNA; a single-stranded RNA virus first needs an enzyme to build a complementary strand.
