Incomplete dominance produces a heterozygote phenotype intermediate between its two homozygous parent phenotypes, rather than matching one parent's trait exactly.

Crossing red-flowered and white-flowered snapdragons produces pink-flowered heterozygotes, intermediate between the two parent colors.
Watch for
An intermediate phenotype is not blending inheritance revived — the alleles stay distinct and separate normally in the next generation.
