Soliloquy

Captions available

The idea

A soliloquy is a speech delivered by a character alone on stage, or believing themselves alone, giving thought directly to the audience. The glossary has no headword, so this is the standard sense. The convention is that a soliloquy is sincere, which is what makes it evidence.

In practice

Alone, and thinking aloud.

Where people slip

The convention is sincerity.
