Stage Directions

The idea
Stage directions are the instructions telling actors what to do, printed apart from the speech. The glossary has no headword. They are evidence like any other, and a direction such as one telling a character to draw a sword carries as much information as a line does.
In practice
Instructions are evidence too.
Where people slip
The glossary omits this term.
