ACT Preparation / Unit 22   ACT 2127 short lesson, about 20 seconds

The Water Cycle

Captions available

The idea

The water cycle is driven by the sun's energy: water evaporates from oceans and other surfaces, condenses into clouds, and falls back as rain or snow.

In practice

Puddles drying after a storm return water to the air, to fall again somewhere else.

Where people slip

Ice can also pass straight into vapor, by sublimation, skipping the liquid stage.
