The idea
Clovis united the Franks by killing rival kin, ended Roman power in Gaul, and converted to Latin Christianity about five hundred, four ninety-six by tradition, so the Arian Visigoths' Latin subjects would welcome him. By five oh seven he held almost all Gaul.
