Captions available
The idea
Enumerated powers are those Article One, Section Eight gives the federal government explicitly: commerce, armies, war, money, foreign affairs. Reserved powers are any not prohibited or delegated, kept by the states. The supremacy clause in Article Six makes federal law superior to state law.
In practice
Concurrent powers, shared: taxing, borrowing, courts.
