Misreading Heritability

The idea
It is an error to read heritability as the degree to which a trait is fixed in an individual.
In practice
Height is highly heritable, and average height still rose sharply within populations as nutrition improved.
Where people slip
High heritability does not mean unchangeable, and low heritability does not mean easily changed.
