The course's last video: five tools from Unit 1, reviewed against the work they did everywhere else—and the map handed over.

Tool one: reconstruction. Prose became numbered premises and conclusions from Unit 2 onward—Descartes' dream argument laid out in standard form, its quiet load-bearing premise made visible and addressable. Nothing in the course was attacked or defended except through its reconstruction first.
Watch for
Tools outlive conclusions—positions taught here will be revised by working philosophers; the methods for revising them are what you were actually taught.
