State
An inductive argument is strong when true premises would make its conclusion probable, and weak when they would not. Strength comes in degrees.

"Ninety-six percent of a thousand sampled batteries passed, so this one will" is strong. "My cousin's battery died" is weak.
Watch for
Even a strong argument's conclusion can turn out false. Probability is not a promise.
