Convention: Non-Possessive Eponyms

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

This course writes eponyms without the possessive: Parkinson disease, Down syndrome, Crohn disease.

Show

Alzheimer disease appears in this course; Alzheimer's disease does not.

Watch for

Both forms are in current use and charts will show either. This is a declared convention, not a correction.
