Logic / Unit 3 Logic 077 short lesson, about 20 seconds
Venn Diagrams for Statements

The idea
Two overlapping circles diagram any categorical statement: shading marks a region empty; an X marks a region occupied.
In practice
"No S are P" — shade the overlap. "Some S are P" — X in the overlap.
Where people slip
Shading and X are different kinds of claims: emptiness versus existence. Never trade one for the other.
