The Micro-Playbook for Your Domain

The idea

The book closes its playbooks with a micro-playbook any domain can use, in four steps.

In practice

Step one: pick one or two decision things, the ones whose values really matter to the people affected. Step two: make them Gold, so they get full Packs, matrices and review. Step three: build their Packs and matrices, tracing each key property back to the rule or policy behind it. Step four: insist that every serious change, and every AI feature, starts from those Packs and matrices. Step five, added here as practice: write down, in one sentence each, what AI may draft around those decisions and what it may never decide.

Where people slip

The decision things are rarely the most used records; they are the ones people argue about, appeal or get audited on. Choosing by daily use instead of consequence is the most common way to pick the wrong Gold thing.
