Misconception: A Poster Is a Shrunken Paper
Captions available
The idea
A poster is designed to be read at a distance by someone walking past. A paper enlarged onto a board fails at exactly that.
In practice
A dense poster nobody stops at, beside a legible one drawing readers.
Where people slip
This is the most visible error at any conference, and it is a design failure rather than a content one.
