The idea
Romantic verse turns to nature, the self and imagination, in lyrics, odes and blank-verse meditation, often moving from a scene to an inward reflection. Its diction aims at the language of common life, as in "I wandered lonely as a cloud," and it revives the ballad and the sonnet.
