Team-Based Learning

The idea

Team-based learning uses permanent teams of five to seven, individual then team readiness tests with immediate feedback, and application activities following the four S rule: significant problem, same problem, specific choice, simultaneous report.

In practice

Teams scratch answer cards and argue to agreement.

Where people slip

It is at least as effective as other methods, though some top performers dislike it.
