Diagnosis and Referral
Captions available
The idea
More boys than girls are diagnosed with ADHD, possibly because of referral bias; active boys and culturally or linguistically diverse students risk being over-diagnosed when normal energy or cultural differences are read as symptoms.
In practice
A lively boy who fidgets only in one dull class may not have ADHD.
Where people slip
True ADHD shows up across settings, not in one room alone.
