Scaled Scores

Captions available

The idea

A scaled score converts a raw score, the number correct, onto a reporting scale that means the same across test forms.

In practice

On CLEP exams each correct answer earns one point, wrong or skipped answers lose nothing, and a scaled score of 50 is equivalent to a course grade of C.

Where people slip

So answering every question can only help a raw score.
