The idea
A web browser transmits a request to a web server — software running at a Uniform Resource Locator — and the server responds with pages rendered in the hypertext markup language.
In practice
Every page a phone displays arrived through this exchange, client-server at scale.
Where people slip
The server is software at an address, no building required.
