The Process

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

A process is an instance of a program in execution — passive instructions on disk become an active entity once loaded into memory and running, the OS providing its environment.

Show

One installed messaging app, opened twice, is one program and two processes.

Watch for

Program and process are different tenses of the same thing.
