Slope as a Rate

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

In a linear model, the slope is a rate — output units per input unit — and the initial value is the output at zero.

Show

f(x) = 10x + 50 in gallons and minutes says 10 gallons per minute from a 50-gallon start.

Watch for

A slope without its units is half a fact.

Builds on

  • Nothing — this is a starting point.

Unlocks

  • Nothing yet depends on this.
