The idea
A fraction splits across the terms of its numerator: (a + b)/c = a/c + b/c — the denominator serves each term.
In practice
(6 + 9)/3 is 15/3 = 5, and 6/3 + 9/3 is 2 + 3 = 5. Same value by both routes.
