The Electromagnetic Spectrum

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

The electromagnetic spectrum orders all electromagnetic radiation by wavelength and frequency, from long-wavelength radio waves to short-wavelength gamma rays.

Show

Visible light occupies only a narrow band within this spectrum, sandwiched between longer-wavelength infrared and shorter-wavelength ultraviolet radiation.

Watch for

Every region of the spectrum, radio through gamma, is still electromagnetic radiation — only the wavelength and resulting energy differ.
