Titration Curve: Strong Acid–Strong Base Shape

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

A strong acid–strong base titration curve starts low, rises gradually, then jumps sharply through pH 7 at the equivalence point before leveling off high.

Show

Titrating HCl with NaOH produces a symmetric S-curve crossing pH 7 exactly at the equivalence point.

Watch for

The steep jump is the titration's most informative feature, not an artifact to smooth over when sketching the curve.
