This procedure classifies three unfamiliar prokaryote descriptions into one of the four nutritional categories by identifying each organism's energy source and carbon source in turn.
Watch for
Confusing "auto" with an energy source, rather than a carbon source, is the most common sorting error— the prefix pair auto/hetero names carbon, and photo/chemo names energy, independently of each other.
