Artificial Intelligence / Unit 9 AI 0546 short lesson, about 20 seconds
The Unpackaged World
Captions available
The idea
An embodied agent receives no pre-packaged stimuli — perception must build the labeled view from raw physics, and action must spend decisions into a world that will not pause.
In practice
A camera delivers a million brightnesses, not "melon, ripe"; a hallway delivers physics, not "obstacle ahead."
Where people slip
Every earlier agent sensed through packaging someone prepared — the packaging was the hard part all along.
