The idea
For fact-and-rule knowledge bases of this unit's form, both procedures are sound — everything derived is a true consequence — and complete: every true consequence can be derived.
In practice
No false positives, no missed conclusions: within its fenced garden, deduction is finished business.
Where people slip
The guarantee is about consequence, not truth — sound reasoning from wrong rules stays wrong.
