The Sunflower That Wishes

The idea
The poem closes by saying the youth and the pale virgin arise and aspire where the speaker's sunflower wishes to go. Wishing is intention, the clearest human capacity of all. The flower now has a desire and a destination, and the personification has become the poem's argument.
