Alliteration

The idea

The glossary defines alliteration as the repetition of a consonant sound, with its own example storm strewn sea. The repeated sound falls at the beginnings of words or stressed syllables. Consonants at the start are the mark, and the letter matters less than the sound.

In practice

Repeated consonants, at the start.

Where people slip

Sound repeats, not spelling.
