The idea
Unit sixteen worked it: Pope rendered Homer's Greek hexameters as rhyming pairs of iambic pentameter, the heroic couplet of the eighteenth century. The English form is Pope's and belongs to his age, not to Homer's. That is the clearest case of the three.
