The idea

In act three Hamlet comes upon Claudius alone and kneeling. He has, by this point in the play, satisfied himself of the king's guilt. He draws his sword. The scene is the single clearest opportunity he is given in five acts.

In practice

Alone, kneeling, and a drawn sword.

Where people slip

His clearest opportunity in the play.
