Trap: Mistaking Vividness for Emotion

Captions available

The idea

A passage can describe something terrible in unemotional language, as both worked texts do. An option calling such a passage impassioned is answering from the subject rather than the manner. Unit four's first trap, met again in the band where it is hardest to resist.

In practice

Terrible subject, unemotional manner.

Where people slip

The hardest place to resist this.
