The idea
Persuasion draws on three appeals: ethos, the speaker's credibility; pathos, the audience's feeling; logos, reason and evidence. None is in the glossary. Most passages use all three, and a question usually asks which one a named sentence is working through.
In practice
Credibility, feeling, reason.
Where people slip
Ask which one a sentence uses.
