ACT Preparation / Unit 14 ACT 1323 short lesson, about 20 seconds
Reciprocal Functions

The idea
The reciprocal trig functions are cosecant, secant and cotangent: csc θ = 1/sin θ, sec θ = 1/cos θ, and cot θ = 1/tan θ.
In practice
If sin θ = 3/5, then csc θ = 5/3.
Where people slip
Pair them by their partners, not their prefixes: cosecant goes with sine, and secant with cosine.
